I absolutely love this and want one for myself!

While this needlepoint roses evening bag is not old it is in a vintage style. The roses are completely surrounded by lemon crystal beads. Just GORGEOUS!!!!!!

These are so amazing! A collection of old pharmacy bottles for prescriptions. Two come in the original box (one is unopened) and come with the original papers inside.

Candlewick glass compote. Stunning! I see sweet treats in its future... mmmm..

Beautiful blue rhinestone sweater clip

Also unique.... a pair of glass leaf cufflinks. After talking with several dealers about them... we think they are a ladies pair.

When one comes to a point in the road and needs to make a decision... sometimes it helps to have an extra set of eyes.

A different perspective.

Today I'm asking my blog pals to give me their opinion.

I've created ads for my latest venture of advertising in Romantic Homes magazine.

Which one do you think would work? The ad space is very small and is about the size of an address label!





This one is using the store logo with no box aound the graphic.

This one goes in a completely different direction but is very pretty.

This third ad is like the first but has a box around the entire thing.

Which one would you choose? I have to send in the artwork asap.... place your vote!

Vintage in a SNAP: Antique Cameras, Film Canisters, Photography

Having a love for antiques plus having a former career working in local media... makes me a softie for vintage cameras, film reels and vintage photos.

This is my actual shelf in our family room. It sits above the TV entertainment area. In my mind I wanted to set off this corner of the living room as "the media zone." As if the large blaring screen of video didn't do it, I needed a little something vintage to give it that feel. It actually helps tone down the techno look of the big flat screens.

So when I saw this great specimen of the past in an antique mall I grabbed it. It is in great condition. I currently don't have any more shelf space for it so it is for sale here, on my website. But I can't help buying . . .

Or these. I saw this pile of old film cans on the internet and thought they made a great sofa table decoration.

Within the next year or so Dear Hubs and I are going to tackle our basement and turn it into our family/play area. As Bebe gets older were going to need a place for the kiddies to play. I can't wait and I'm already starting to think about what to do with this newly created space. Don't you just love it when you get SPACE?

Pink in My Wedding

Today is my wedding anniversary.

Six years ago I married my sweetie, the father of my Dear Bebe.

The only thing I regret was forgetting to pick up the silver cake stand the day before from an antique dealer friend of mine.

Being the antiquer that I am... how did I miss that????

Playing Around With Graphics

When you're a one "man" band you've got to do everything yourself, including your advertising.
I just can't afford to pay an agency to create my ads.

I'm going to try Romantic Homes magazine, in their pink pages. What do you think of my creation?


I went against the marketing grain and did not use my actual logo. Thought this might POP off the page better.

Hmmm. Will try another shot at it tomorrow.
