Let'S Talk Vintage #85: Sometimes Reality Sets In

Welcome to Let's Talk Vintage!

Today I'm sharing more
Vintage and Co. store updates.

People are coming into the shop
and are just in love with it.
Seriously... they keep telling us.
How wonderful to hear their feedback.

But is a funny thing about life.
Sometimes you are up,
and sometimes you are down.

Last week, I took a blow.

My shop mate told me she is leaving.

So soon, I asked? I'm not sure
you gave it enough time.

You just never know what someone
else is going through.

So now I am feeling a little bit
deflated but I am seeing that I will
be able to continue on if this is what
I am meant to do. Again, I have
always felt this was something the
Lord has brought me to.

And if He brought you to it, He will
get you through it.

Now for this week's features:

Debra of Shoppe No. 5 showed us how to
make a plant stand out of a step
ladder. Perfect time of year for it!

Lauren of My Wonderfully Made,
created these mini coffee themed gift
baskets
and added magnets
made from scrap wood!

Home shared her front porch reveal.
Check out her "Ethan Alley" furniture!

Sorry to hear about your shop mate! Too bad you're not closer to me, as I've been dying to get my own place! :)

I really admire your attitude about the situation in your shop. I jotted your quote in my journal this morning hoping to remind myself of it when I am in that situation. You go girl! Something very good will come from this. Thank you for hosting this party and allowing me to get to know new bloggers. Have a wonderful day my friend. xx Jo

Oh I'm sorry to hear about your shop mate leaving! I will pray that you will have clear leading and direction. Sure sounds like people love what you are offering -- and how could they not?? Wish we had shops like yours where I live. And thanks for the feature 😉

Thank you for Lets Talk Vintage 85 today. It is hard to have a shop mate leave so soon. Hope you find another very soon. Hugs.

I'm sorry about your shop mate. A store front is my dream, and I am so proud of you for going for it. Praying you are able to make it work. Thanks for hosting another great party!

Thank you so much for featuring the stepladder that became a plant stand. I really appreciate it. Your introduction hit home because the same thing happened to me last year. A friend and I were splitting the rent for our booth and she decided to do other things. I decided I would take it over because I love doing this. So then that made me get off the fence of starting a blog. I am so glad I did it. So don't give up. You have a beautiful shop with such lovely items. I enjoy seeing the treasures you find. Thanks again.

Jillian, I think you said it best "And if He brought you to it, He will get you through it." This is so true. I will be praying that things will work out for you. I am so sorry it happened as it would be a blow to me. But what wonderful news that people are liking the shop. I just wish it was closer as it looks like it would be my favorite place to shop.

Prayers & Hugs,
Dianne
