Vintage Finds of the Week #13

This week I have a bunch of "pretties" to share with you... I'll save the grittier treasures for next week's Let's Talk Vintage! post.

In the collage above, you'll see some silver plate pieces I've already cleaned up. I have plans for them but I'll talk about that in another post.

The plate has such a wonderful smooth texture... I am wondering if it is Nippon.
I just love it... will probably put it in the shop but I might have to enjoy it for
just a little while!

And the dresser or table runner is unique, so sweet, yet, elegant too. The baskets are embroidered in different bright colors.

I spotted this little Scotty dog pitcher
and scooped her into my bag at a
hectic rummage sale. Couldn't
believe it was still sitting there.

Loved this antique flour canister...
again, scooped into my bag!

And that's how I got this pretty teapot, too.
The bag was getting full and heavy.

 Luckily these old glass Christmas
bead garlands were light!
The beads are a larger size
than I am used to.

This tapestry is unmarked but I loved its bustling
street scene which looks like it came straight out of Persia.

This pretty Royal Albert
teacup and saucer were
found at an antique mall.
I just can't turn down roses!

I was lucky enough to find a dealer
with a booth filled with vintage jewelry.
The buckle is broken on one end
and needs to be soldered
or reused in a new project.

And this little sweetie was found at a sale ...
she is a Madame Alexander "Cissette" doll.

I found her with a broken leg but I've already made an appointment to take her to a "doll hospital."
I plan on taking lots of photos and sharing her adventure with you for "Let's Talk Vintage!"

Hope you enjoyed my latest finds! I'd
love to hear what you found this week, too.
Drop me a line, I love reading your
comments!

Oh, how lovely the Madame Alexandra doll is! I've never seen one as old as she is. Her dress is lovely. Love all your other finds too and I admire that you polished the silver:) I only have a few pieces and I detest cleaning them!!!
