Y R U Knot Crafty? Mission Possible Party

This is the question I ask myself.
I mean really.
Y R U not crafty?
You are creative.
Who me?
Yes.

So why when I went to my computer to find something to do for the
Mission Possible link up party...did I draw a blank?

Crafter's block?

Maybe.

I decided to work on some projects for Bebe's upcoming Egg
Hunt party. This photo is from Pinterest where I got the idea.

Our craft tutorial for the link up party
asked that it be in about 20 minutes.
A cinch!
Easy peasy and I'll be almost
ready in time for this weekend.

Right?

Sigh... I'm warning you.
I'm just not crafty.

This is why I sell antiques.

But, I decided to go for it.

First up, a banner for the table.
(I decided to try two different crafts in case one didn't turn out well!)
See? CRAFT FEAR.
Tee hee!
You're laughing!

I got out my supplies...

I forgot I had all of these pretty pastel scrapbook papers.

And more!

I even have measuring tools!
Thanks to my lovely Sister, she is a Creative Memories consultant.
Then Dear Bebe wanted to help.
Great! But there went my 20 minutes.
But that's okay.
It's the IDEA.

I decided to use a background for my letters using my oval cutouts.
Oval, like an egg, get it?
I'm so crafty!

Then I had an array of paper triangles and oval eggs.
What to do with them next?

I started arranging...
To spell the words: HAPPY EASTER

And I laid them out...
And then wondered where I was going to get the letters...
THE GRAPICS FAIRY!
So I went to the website.
And looked. And looked.
I didn't see how or where to print out individual letters.
I've never really used the Graphics Fairy website
before. So I decided to print out my own letters using
Word on my computer.
I did.
The letters were too big for my ovals.
I caved and moved onto the next craft.
See?
This is not good.
But at least the banner is halfway done.

You're laughing!
That's okay. I would too!

Allrighty then.
Next project.
The EGG TREE.
We live in the woods. EASIER AND PEASIER!

I snipped branches from small trees of the same color.
Oh yeah!
I gathered my plastic eggs in different shapes and sizes.

I grabbed my trusty sewing box.
I've had this thing since high school.
Seriously.
Remember how mauvy pink was big in the late 80's?
This surely must mean I've been crafty
for a LONG TIME.

 Some colored buttons.
What could these be for?
Some of my eggs had only one hole at the top.
I used them as "stoppers" to keep the thread from coming out.
Aha!
Clever and crafty.
I knew I had it in me.

Vinage thread.
VINTAGE.
Of course!

Then I set out to do the task.
Threading each egg with
matching thread.
Matching!
That's kind of crafty, isn't it?

 And I hung the eggs.
One by one.

And hanging...
Until

Voila!
Finally, something is finished.
Sort of.
I just want to create a
decoration for the green
container before Saturday.

And there you have it.
A craft.
Or two.

I can't wait to see all of the other
WONDERFUL crafters and what they came up with.

Check them out.

Mission accomplished!

Well, you certainly had me laughing, sugar!!! Yesssss, you can do it.

Recently Miss Caroline decided she and her grandpa needed more hair so she colored some brown with a magic market on a photo her mummy had. It was so funny because she's not even 2 yrs. old yet but she colored exactly where the hair was.

Connie

Loving the beginning of your banner. I'm not crafty either - not even sure I'm creative. But you have some great ideas here.

I can't believe that Bebe is already using scissors! Wow!

Your egg tree is very eggstravagant! I love how you had vintage thread on hand for crafting!
