Lake House Meets Vintage Forties

If there were an award for the cutest lake house, I'd have to give it to the one Dear Hubby and I checked out this past weekend. I even remembered to take pictures so today's post is a tour of what I saw.

But before we go in...

Upon arrival I saw this sign and knew it was going to be fun...

It was open and airy

And it had this awesome 1940's meets South Pacific feel to it.
It was love at first sight.

Like this awesome aqua vintage bathing suit.

And wonderful vintage wicker. In Pink. But don't sit down yet.
There's much more to be seen!

This was the back bedroom.
The fabric in this place was gorgeous.
And wallpaper.
Who does wallpaper?
It was the perfect fit.

In the bathroom I found an amazing array of Japanese
fans and plates.

The kind you see at fleamarkets and antique shops
but you weren't sure what to do with them?
This was it!

View from the loft bedroom.
Lake house luuurrrrve, people. Lurrrrve.

Just look at all of the vintage dinnerware on a ledge. A ledge!

The loft bedroom.
Pink quilt.
Enough said.

The view from the loft bedroom's bench seating.
Yes, it does look kinda snowy.
But can you picture it green and summertime?
Can ya? Can ya????
That is the lake in the background.

This is at the bottom of the steps from the loft.
Look at the way the art work popped in a vibrant display of blue above the poppy colored book shelf.
Ahhhhhhhh!

Another bedroom.
Just look at this dresser with the matching aqua lamps.
Matching cuteness!
Ahhhhhhh.

And is this super sweet or what?
Same bedroom.
Cuuuuuuuute.

Dresser topped with collectible vintage dog figurines.
This is stuff that should be in a magazine.
Seriously.

The front porch area.
Loved the oil paintings.
The lanterns.
The pink lamp shape.
Ahhhhhhh.

Look at the colors!

Just in case you need a towel ...these were stashed on the back porch
to grab on your way out to the lake.

I hope you enjoyed my tour of vintage forties meets Lake House lurrrve!

If we do not end up buying it ...well, then maybe I can take a few ideas here and there on how to decorate some of my rooms.

Up next .... another lake house...
this time waterfront... with a rustic style.
Plus a sneak peek into a crafter's warehouse!

With all of this vintage aqua...I just had to link to Mod Mix Monday and Blue Monday!

Thanks for sharing these blues. I especially like the framed dress. I'm wondering if it was made with the dress measurement with the hanger NOT included.

Happy Blue Monday, Jillian.
