The Calm After the Storm: Ways to Help with Hurricane Sandy

We made it through the storm!

A little scary at times, but we
came through without much
damage and no power loss.

Thanking God for our
many blessings today!

Which makes me wonder
how I can help out.

Here's a couple of ways
I've found to help those
impacted besides the
American Red Cross:

Thank you for your
kind words and prayers
for our family and friends.

It means more than words
can say!

Was thinking of you, Jill, as I know there was a lot of tree damage in land PA. We really came out of it here in Vineland with little to nothing - never lost power - little tree anything. I think after the derecho and all the trees that might have fallen - already down - that may have helped minimize it this time. HOwever, you are right about our seashore - gone! Hope you mom dared well - let me know. We were supposed to have our women's retreat at the Flanders on the OC boardwalk this weekend. OC is indefinitely under water and knee-high sand at the moment - but the boards are largely intact. Not like AC - historic landmarks gone to sea . . . whole communities just 30 minutes from our front door are gone. Beyond sad. Glad all is well with you - tell me about your trees! And what do you know about the Ren Faire and Mount Hope?
Joy!

So glad you are okay, Jill! This certainly was a terrible storm just as predicted. We only have rain and cold weather as a result of the storm. I can deal with that.

Always a blessing to ride out such a terrible storm. I am sorry for the loss of life, the people who lost everything and I pray for strength and lots of faith to get thru the days ahead. You were very blessed and I am very grateful you and yours are safe.
