Pinkarella! It's Spring Time Appeal for Pastel Colored LuRay Dinnerware

Spring!
My heart leaps with joy at the
thought of this season.

And my vintage LuRay Pastels collection
makes a great display for Easter.

Just like the colors
of the candy coated eggs!

Back in the day, the company
Taylor Smith and Taylor. debuted
LuRay as a great alternative to the
popular and very brightly
colored FIESTA ware.

Soft pastels like Persian Cream, Sharon Pink,
Surf Green, and Windsor Blue sparkle
like the colors in the LuRay Caverns in Virginia.
Did you know that is how this set got it's name?

Over the years I have collected
quite a few different pieces.

Some I use...

And some I don't!

And some I buy just to
"Go Along"

And why not?
My vintage LuRay

Always makes me smile,
whatever the occasion!

My little sweet pea thinks I am
like "Pinkarella" because
I like pink so much.

I love LuRay! My sister has always been a Fiestaware person and I've always been in love with the LuRay. It's like we grew up in different houses!
Have a lovely weekend,

Oh my, love these dishes! I have never heard of this brand. I picked up some aqua cups and saucers at an antiques store because of the color. I'm thinking they must be LuRay. Going to check. I love dishes and your collections is amazing. Saw you at Charm of Home. I have a link party, Share Your Cup Thursday, would love if you linked up. Happy to be a new follower.

I assumed correctly that was where they got their name. My hubby and I lived in Middleburg, VA when we were first married and I so heart Virginia. Your pastel pieces are so pretty. I have way too many dishes, but I can honestly make room for these! Great post!

I love your LuRay collection and it is the color of Easter candy with the pastels. The Johnson Bros. China company of England also has a pastel collection from this era. I have some pieces of it but enjoy the Luray but can never find a teapot! Have a Happy Easter!

I've never heard of Luray before, but I love the soft pastels! I was never a fan of Fiesta ware because I prefer the softer color palette. Thanks for sharing these beautiful pieces with us!
