A very old copy of Alice's Adventure's in Wonderland. Copyright 1897! Four awesome color plates and several other awesome (John Tenniel) illustrations.
This is a gorgeous pair of pink gloves... with sweet ruching above the wrist for that extra feminine touch.
A so sweet and romantic pink rose postcard from the early 1900's.... with a greeting in German.
Then...are you ready? Are you ready???
Then...are you ready? Are you ready???
This was a neat find, in my opinion... maybe because I've never been to Hollywood.
An old souvenir from the WORLD FAMOUS Grauman's Chinese Theater, Hollywood, California!
The one with all of the celebrities and such from years gone by...
How cool is that?????
I am also going to confess here that I thought it was so cool, I decided to see how it would do on ebay... here. We'll see. Not too many viewers as of yet but it still has a couple more days to go.
THEN my hubby's find:
THEN my hubby's find:
Last summer I spotted this pretty bike propped up against the railing on a NJ boardwalk. A little bit of rust, yes, but at the beach near the salt water...very common.
I snapped the photo to show for Pink Saturday.
This summer, my hubby found one just like it on Craigslist...INSISTED I had to have it. When he brought it home I was stunned to see that it was in like new condition!
A big shout out to the hubs! Thanks honey. What fun to ride on the boards with my OWN sweet ride!

And here I thought you bought a pink bicycle. It's so you!
hello, your right. Your bike looks just like the one I shared with Beverly last week. The only difference you get to keep yours. mine was a rental on vacation.

How wonderful that you and your husband find these treasures! The Hollywood plate find is great. I also like the pink bicycle. I used to have one and then sold it in a yard sale. What was I thinking?! I guess I wasn't.
Hope your weekend is wonderful and Happy Pink Saturday!

HI Jillian,
wanted to stop by again to say thanks for visiting my blog an I took your request to heart - if you stop by again you will see a few pages from the copyright free book posted now. Have a great weekend!
Well, mi-bella, so good of you to visit me at The Writer's Reverie. And just where abouts do you live in South Jersey? You're talking all my haunts in some of the posts you have here. My husband and I honeymooned at the John Craig House in Cape May and we go there during the year to take in the nature trails. I'm actually meeting a number of Jersey girls in blog world! Love you antiques - that Alice book is awesome. I collect old books. Old things in general. Do you have a physical shop? Looking forward to more visits!
Joy!

I found a similar cup and saucer from Grauman's Chinese Theatre, but it is a little different. Mine is made by "California Creations by Bradley" in Japan. It is more white than pink, but I can not for the life of me figure out how much it is actually worth. The only thing I can figure out is that it is from the 1950s or 1960s possibly. It is in pristine condition. If anyone has any idea how much it is worth, I would be very grateful! :D
