We played a (minor league) team from New Jersey. Being a Jersey girl at heart I wasn't sure who to root for. Just kidding. I was rooting for the home team!
It was so hot I had to move to the top row where there was a breeze.
Hubby was having a great time. He said this was the FIRST professional game he had ever been to. I was so happy we decided to go.

We took part in the 7th inning stretch! Hubby had NEVER done this before. Isn't that amazing?
This old tune was a lot of fun:
"Take me out to the ball game,
Take me out with the crowd.
Buy me some peanuts and cracker jack,I don't care if I never get back,
Let me root, root, root for the home team,
If they don't win it's a shame.
For it's one, two, three strikes, you're out,
At the old ball game."
Click here to read the history of this song... I laughed when I read it. It was written on a train ride to New York in 1908.
It just proves to me how much I love good 'ol Americana, vintage memorabilia, and nostalgia. Guess I'm in the antique biz for a reason!
(Humming.....Take- me- out- to- the ....)

We have several minor league teams nearby and we love going to the games. My husband is a HUGE baseball fan! It looks like you had a great time!
I really miss our home team "The Surf" - we had good times at those games! Glad that you and DH had a good time at your game! By the way, who won? The Jersey Boys? LOL!
Love,
