Overheard at a Tupperware Party

Last night I had my first Tupperware party experience. Can you believe it? I made it to almost 42 years without ever having been to one!
I found out what Tupper Bucks were and why you should NEVER open the free gift.

I also fell in love with these bowls.

But I also found out we're not teaching kids enough in school. The consultant was so young, and so sweet, newly married.

When told we could not put these bowls in the dishwasher I raised my hand and said " can you tell me why?"

Her reply, quite confidently: "Because it says so on the bottom!"

Sigh.

Please, please pleeeeeeease tell me she wasn't blonde, honey! Sad, but true. Dumbing our kids down is one of the saddest things to happen to our children. My friend tells me, "But they got As and Bs on their report cards." Yes, but that doesn't mean they're smart as the older generation who actually DID learn things.

Connie

Jillian,
First rule at Tupperware parties: never ask questions! LOL! :)
I DO like the bowls you picked out...never say any Tupperware like those. Neat.

Love,

ROTFL at Kathleen's comment!!

Are the bowls acrylic?

They'll "crackle" if you put them in the dishwasher. So if you want a vintage look, LOL, put them in the dishwasher!

Hmmm, are you gonna tell us why you should never open the free gift?!?!

xxoo

Oh, the expense of private school and why when I forget, I am reminded.

Love the pics on your previous post. Since some of your family is from the NY area, here is a site you may not know about: http://www.fultonhistory.com/

Don't let the front page put you off...continue on in. I have found newspaper article after article about my family from NYC.

Caution: It is addicting!

If you didn't know about this, isn't the blogging world wonderful?

Did you purchase 'said' bowls? :) They are pretty. I haven't been to a T-ware party in many years. I'm sure they have some new and neat stuff my now.
