A Merry Pink Yummy Ho Ho Ho

This past week I participated in my first cookie exchange.
My dear hubby also helped and really wanted to make pressed cookies... just like he did when he was a kid. Here they are and they turned out pretty good! (See the photo above)
We added orange and lemon zest for flavor. I think next year I'm going to try almond extract.

I'm also going to check out other types of cookies I can make. It just seemed like so much FUN.
Kind of like "THE MORE THE MERRIER!" Tee hee.

I just had to check out pinterest and see what was on there...
here we have peppermint stuffed oreos.
WOW!
And these are just beautiful! Almost too pretty to eat...
And of course I was choosing only pink cookies since it is PINK SATURDAY!
I'm not sure what these delectables are but I think I gained five pounds while I was on PINTEREST.
Seriously!

And while I was shopping this week I found this yummy looking cookbook... so I came home and bought it on ebay at a discount.

Watch out next year cookie exchange! Can't wait!

Have a Merry Christmas to my Pink Peeps...check out the other holiday posts, here.

Your spritz cookies look great! I use almond extract in mine. I was supposed to make them tonight but I made chocolate dipped macaroons.

Hope that you are enjoying the season!

Hi Jillian, Love the PINK Cookies! How adorable! Thanks for dropping in and commenting on the Story of Amelia and the auction. You asked what the guidelines of the auction are ~ they were at the bottom of the post...I decided to move them to the top of the post so it's easier to find out what they are before you see the items. In the event you want to bid on anything...you can check out the rules on how the auction is working now at the top of the post. ;) Thanks for bringing that to my attention... Merry CHRISTmas!

Happy happy Pink Saturday. Didn't you just love the cookie exchange? I used to go to them and have them all the time when the children were little. Then they grew up and we moved to the country with hardly any neighbors so hadn't been to one in years. And then, last year, I decided to have one. It was fabulous and even though all the ladies are grandmothers now we had a blast. Love your pressed cookies. I have never been any good at making pressed cookies but I did make those oreo peppermint cookies this year. They are so pretty and Christmasy. xo
