Celebrate Freedom ~ A Special Pink Saturday Edition

Each year the fourth of July holiday gets bigger and bigger around our house.
It started a few years ago.

Tonight I decorated our mantle.
The rosettes I made recently using the instructions found on Country Living's website. I haven't finished them into a banner! (Maybe by next year)

I found the garland, by Bethany Lowe, on the Christmas Traditions website.

I'm getting out all of my craft and party supplies...

...because we're getting ready to have friends over
to celebrate America's birthday on Sunday!!!!!

After all, liberty is a very precious thing.
I don't want to take it for granted.

We also like to shop in the quaint little towns not too far from our house.
Get ice cream, enjoy some fireworks.

I'm really getting into buying and selling vintage patriotic items. I

even started a new category on my website this year.

This book is amazing!

Dear Hubs has already claimed this pillow cover if it doesn't sell.

He's had a dream of owning

a lake house. Wouldn't it look great?

I told him he'd better hurry up and buy his house before it goes!

It takes longer than you think to find the right place.

He's been looking for ages.

Vintage Americana postcards.... to scrapbook, frame, or create a banner...

But most of all, I love enjoying our backyard deck in the woods with our red, white, and blue lights...enjoying good conversations with friends.

Happy 234th Birthday, America!

Let freedom ring! God Bless.

A big thank you to Beverly for hosting this special edition of PINK SATURDAY.

Happy 4th....kinda late!! I love your decorations, Jillian....I bought some of those red, white and blue lights this year...put them on my 5' grapevine (cone shaped) tree I keep on our back patio year round! I love the festive look it gives to that area in the evening.

So sorry you are having gall bladder issues!! My hubs had to have his removed years ago...he immediately felt better when that rascal came out!!

Did Bebe like the fireworks? Our grand boy enjoyed his first parade. The sirens on the vintage firetrucks kinda spooked him at first, but he adapted and loved seeing all of the fun entries.

Just got in from a long and grueling run/walk!! I needed to bump up my exercising and burn some of the 4th of July calories I took in at our picnic!! My knees will probably "talk" to me tomorrow, however!
