I miss it already but I'm also so busy with my Vintage & Co. brick and mortar shop that I don't really have any time to think about it.
(one of my early photos...I learned a lot along the way!)
So many pretty things came and went. Here are just some of my favorites:
This week I'll be going through all of the items that I had in my inventory to bring into the shop.
I still have jewelry, some antique books, and china. China is the hardest thing to sell these days. Probably better to store it all away for when the trend comes back again. They always do.
And speaking of storing things away, yesterday I took advantage of Martin Luther King Jr. day to take down Christmas and pack away everything in the attic.
Onward and upward!
I'll be back to give you an update on our latest projects for Vintage & Co.!
It is sad to let go of something you had for so long but your new store sounds so fabulous! Probably not so new anymore....has it been a year, or two? I know you have to put lots of time and energy into it and no one can do it all! I still have Etsy but decided to try retail, renting booths to sell vintage but I think I am done with that too! Too much work for very little sales. I will be giving notice for my current booth and then putting all my energy into Etsy. I can't not do anything....thrifting is way too much fun!
ReplyDeleteIt will be a big change and you will miss it, but I bet you won't miss the work. :) You surely have sold some gorgeous things over the years!

Sad to hear this but totally get it -- your brick and mortar store is more important! You're so fortunate to be able to do that. I still treasure the things I bought on your site and think of you when I put them out. Wooden letters I use year-round, vintage crepe paper rolls I use for 4th of July decor, vintage pins I bought from you . . . That little figurine of the girl in the blue dress with the bird -- I have that one (not from you though) but I love it! I put it out in the spring :) Are you going to keep the blog though? Hope so - I want to keep up with you :)
