Welcome to Let's Talk Vintage!
Today I am sharing my trip to our local flea.
(And please pardon my tardiness in getting
the party set up today!)
(And please pardon my tardiness in getting
the party set up today!)
It's a pretty good fleamarket.
(Is fleamarket one word
or two? I have seen it both ways!)
I find all kinds of vintage goodies.
It is not too far
and the prices are
just right.
Most of the time.
The woman at this table was
desperate for me to
buy this dress form.
I would have if I didn't
already have three!
I found this sombrero a bit out of place
for Pennsylvania Dutch country!
Ole'! Now, can you pass me the pickled eggs
and apple butter?
This antique baby carriage caught
my eye... adorable! It actually looks
like there is a tiny dog in it, doesn't it?
This "vintage" gas station toy caught my eye, too.
My hubby loves old toys. Turns out
it was made for Hallmark as a selling prop.
Not old at all.
And if Bebe had been with me,
this booth would have been
her favorite, I'm sure!
The problem with this flea market...
it is only open on Tuesday mornings!
This is a definite conflict with this
link party. I will have to start pre-posting
the Let's Talk Vintage posts.
That, and send a reminder
to my smart phone!

Summer has turned my
schedule upside down.
I will get it right one
of these weeks.
Here are this week's features:
I could not let Jann's post
from her blog Have a Daily
Cup with Mrs. Olson, go by
without featuring it!
Love all of her summer treasures!

and Saturday's Vintage Finds
shared a post about vintage suitcases.
From the clever post title to the
great photos... I just had
to feature these old gems!

I always love this linky party. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteHi Jillian, the flea market looks fun--LOVE that baby buggy! I have that same Samsonite luggage that I found at a yard sale! Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteHi Jillian--looks like an awesome flea market. We don't have too many of those around here. Yes, I get all thrown off in the summer, too. I'm sure it'll all come together. Nice feature of your marshmellow tin over at Knick of Time :) Thanks for hosting--
ReplyDeleteI found a couple of goodies today, too. It wasn't a flea market, but an on-going yard sale in the neighboring town.
ReplyDeleteI like the adding machine I can see on the table in the picture with the dress form.
It was terribly hot here, today (100 without counting in the heat index)--I hope it was better in PA.
Have a great night!
Oh Jill, you sound like me with the dress forms! We had a carriage like that - ended up selling pretty inexpensively. Thanks for the party - going shopping tomorrow with my Panoply sisters for a few days - looking forward to the thrill of the hunt. :)

Jillian, I really enjoyed the trip to the flea market. Just how much was that dress form? Thank you for hosting. It is always exciting to see the treasures everyone found.
ReplyDeleteJillian, you are a sweetheart and I love being featured by you! I have got to pop over and visit the other two features. Missed seeing them. Thanks for the party. I would love a flea like that!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
I wish we had a Tuesday flea market. That looks like fun! Thank you for hosting.
ReplyDeleteWe have a large Flea Market that is about 45 minutes away but it is only on Wednesdays and it mostly has new things......Plus, with my knee, I would never be able to walk it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting!!
Hugs,
Debbie
That little wicker pram is too cute! Was it made for an actual human baby or a doll? It's hard to tell in the pic but it sure is adorable. That is an odd day for Flea Market (also no idea on whether that's one word or two!). Anyone who works M-F would miss out!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun you must have had Jillian! I can't tell you long long it has been that I was at one of these....
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your summer treasure hinting!
Thanks for hosting Jillian. That looks like a great flea market. Around here flea market prices are too high for me. They think they're antique shops it seems, so I have to stick to garage sales and thrift stores. Love that baby carriage.
ReplyDeleteI wish we had something like this flea market around here on Tuesday mornings. What a lovely sight to see mid week! Love the mannequin!! Thank you for sharing at Vintage Inspiration Party.
